Confident in 1v1 situations, Alec-Michael is comfortable going forward to join the attack: “Against Miami United, we need to take care of the ball and retain possession when we can. We also need to get a lot of players into the final third so we can create scoring opportunities.”

Miami United FC – Nicolás Gorobsov, Having signed for Miami United in early March, Nicolás is a relatively new addition to the Miami United team. The Argentine has spent most of his career in Romania and Italy, most notably with Torino, for whom he made one Serie A appearance. Gorobsov is the NPSL’s third-highest scoring player, with four goals this season. Boca Raton will be eager to contain Gorobsov, who scored three times when these sides met in early May.

Quotable

At practice on Thursday Coach Jim Rooney was asked about what the team has focused on in practice this week and looking forward to the upcoming three-game road trip, here’s what he said:

“We’ve put last weekend’s game behind us and are looking forward to the game this Saturday. This upcoming game will be a challenge for the team. Like we do every week we are working on defensive shape, especially going into this game. Miami [United] are a very good team and we really need to focus on containing them. Traveling is part of the game, we are aware of that and have prepared mentally for what to expect. Right now myself and the team are focused on Miami United and preparation for the game”.
