Players to Watch: Ryan Price
Forward Ryan Price has been working hard since joining the Boys in Blue at the start of the month. Price has scored once so far this season but has been part of numerous scoring plays and has been a great boost to the club in the attacking front.
“Coming off a 2-1 win, this game on Friday versus Vultures FC is a game we will look to keep that momentum going and continue to progress as a club and we will look to score as early and as often as possible,” said Price after training.
Quotable:
At practice on Thursday Coach Jim Rooney was asked about what the team has focused on in practice this week and looking forward to their second home game this Friday at 7 pm.
On the progression of the team:
We have a good couple of wins under our belt now and a great win at home. We now need to keep striving to get better and the players are coming in every training session and competing, and working hard to get in the starting lineup. We are not quite there yet, but we are building towards it and the effort has been very good form the guys.
On Vultures FC:
We are just going to stick to what we know. We can’t predict what the other team is doing. If we take care of the ball and play Boca Raton FC style soccer we will be fine. We have to inflict our game on them and not let them have the better of the game. The only thing I can control is my team and my gameplan. We just focus on ourselves and if we do what have to do more times than not we will end up in the winning side.
On Ryan Price:
Ryan’s made an impact from the first time he joined the club. He’s a hard worker with a nose for goal. He’s a great addition to our team and we are excited to see him continue to develop throughout the year.
