Boca Raton, FL – The amount of support Boca Raton Football Club has received in such a short time of existence is phenomenal.
Today, the club has announced that the soccer group, Footie Fanatics, have joined the club as the club’s supporter group.
“A majority of the people in the group are local guys who just love to watch soccer,” says Otavio Maciel, one of the leaders of the group. “We are excited and proud to have joined in with Boca Raton FC for the 2015 season and hopefully for years to come!”
The group of over 300 on facebook has grown exponentially over the last few weeks and with fans not only from Boca Raton, but from all over the United States and the World, the Boca Raton FC brand will be viewed by much more than just local eyes.
“We strongly believe in what Boca Raton FC is doing for local soccer,” added Rafael Baez, co-founder of Footie Fanatics. “Being a Boca Raton resident for such a long time, it’s exciting to finally have quality soccer being played just a few minutes from downtown.”
“The Footie Fanatics guys have embraced us with open arms,” says majority owner Douglas Heizer. “The minute they heard of the club, the emailed us and began a GoFundMe campaign amongst the group to raise the money needed.”
“It took Footie Fanatics only one week to raise up all the money needed,” added Heizer. “This is a testament to the amount of support this group has amongst each other and what Boca Raton FC will now gain from it.”
