Boca Raton FC continues to schedule challenging friendlies in the offseason as the club prepares the for the difficult task ahead.
The club has just announced a friendly versus North American Soccer League (NASL) expansion side Miami FC on Saturday at St. Thomas University.
Miami FC is Miami’s sole professional soccer Club, beginning to play in the NASL in 2016.
International entrepreneur Riccardo Silva and world-renowned soccer superstar Paolo Maldini have teamed up as co-owners to launch Miami FC and bring Miami’s professional soccer into the world stage.
Boca Raton FC will be the first club the new club from Miami will face as they prepare to debut in the North American Soccer League (NASL) in April.
“We are very excited to be able to face a club like Miami FC,” says general manager and head coach, Marcelo Castillo. “This friendly can be the start of a great partnership between Boca Raton FC and Miami FC.”
Boca Raton FC is continuing is strong preseason and will be scheduling matches against top teams as they prepare their title defense in the 2016 APSL Season, and look to qualify for the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
The match versus Miami FC will be closed to the public.
