BOCA RATON, FL — As Boca Raton Football Club continues its preparations for the 2018 NPSL season, the club just announced today the re-signing of Carlos Meneses for the upcoming season.
Meneses played last season with Boca Raton FC in NPSL, appearing in four matches and starting three, logging in 287 minutes.
“First of all give thanks to God for allowing me to do what I like most, which is to play football,” said Meneses. “I am also grateful to the team ownership and coaches for putting their trust in me for this upcoming NPSL season.”
In the 2017 NPSL season, Meneses registered two assists for Boca Raton FC, tied for the team-high.
“I am committed and with many expectations as we look to improve and surpass our 2017 NPSL season,” added Meneses. “Last year was a learning process for the club, and this year we have the Sunshine Conference title in our sights.”
“Meneses had a terrific work ethic,” says head coach Jim Rooney. “He has played in some of South America’’ biggest clubs and his quality can’t be argued. He will be a huge part of our midfield this season.”
Meneses has played in first division clubs in Venezuela such as Deportivo Tachira, Zamora FC (during the South American Cup), Vigia FC, and Union Átlético Maracaibo. Later he moved to Colombia where he played for Atlético Bucaramanga, also in the first division.
