BPCA RATON, FL — Boca Raton FC announced today that they have agreed to mutually part ways with head coach Pedro Yunes after a stellar run the APSL Season in which saw Boca Raton defend both their APSL Championship and Fall Tournament Titles.
“Pedro Yunes has been an invaluable member of Boca Raton FC since the day he took over at the start of the 2016 APSL Season,” Boca Raton FC owner and president Douglas Heizer said. “Pedro departs the club with our utmost respect and gratitude for his service to the project. He has my sincere appreciation for all that he committed to our team and community.”
“I want to thank Boca Raton FC for the opportunity to lead this club, with particular gratitude to Douglas Heizer and the rest of the club’s ownership group. I’d also like to thank my coaches and technical staff for the support they’ve given me, and most importantly I want to thank my players for their tremendous effort throughout the season,” Yunes said. “I’m proud of the success we’ve achieved in winning two APSL championships in less than a year.”
Yunes finishes his Boca Raton FC career with an all-time record of 14W-2D-3L.
Boca Raton FC has begun their search for their head coach will oversee the NPSL team in 2017. Academy coach, Juninho has been promoted to Coaching Director and will oversee all the levels of coaches in the Boca Raton FC umbrella from the NPSL all the way to the Academy players.
“Juninho is a professional that has had years of soccer experience in North America as well as Brazil,” said Heizer. “He is a proven professional whose experience will help move the club in the right direction for years to come.”
