Boca Raton Football Club fell to Miami United FC 4-2 in a shortened match at Mullins Park on Tuesday, June 22.
Miami United took the early 1-0 lead in the match but Boca Raton FC was able to level the match in the first half after a goal by Pedro Viega.
The Boys in Blue took a 2-1 lead when newcomer Aly Hassan was one-on-one with Miami United’s keeper and shot the ball through his legs to give Boca Raton FC the 2-1 lead going into halftime
Boca Raton FC was unable to keep the momentum going in the second half and Miami United was able to capitalize on Boca’s misfortunes and flip the score 4-2 on the home team.
The match was suspended in the 76th minute due to lighting, thus giving Miami United the crucial win.
Boca Raton FC returns to action this Sunday at North Community Park as they take on Storm FC, kickoff is set for 6pm.
