Boca Raton FC will begin its second successive US Open Cup campaign Wednesday evening in Hialeah against Miami United FC. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 pm at Ted Hendricks Stadium. The two teams met on April 30 in NPSL Sunshine Conference play with Miami United prevailing 1-0 in a hard-fought relatively even match. Boca Raton FC advanced to the first round proper thanks to a 4-1 qualifying section victory over Hurricane FC last year. The winner of this match will face Jacksonville Armada FC, currently unbeaten and sitting second in the second-division NASL table.

Boca Raton Football Club has won four straight  American Premier Soccer League (APSL) titles. In 2017, Boca Raton FC is competing in the APSL as well as the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) . Founded in 2015, Boca Raton has found success in its infant stages and has played international friendlies with the Jamaican National Team, The New York Cosmos, and European powerhouse, Shakhtar Donetsk. Boca Raton FC also has a High-Performance Academy, as well as a partnership with Barcelona Elite which gives Boca Raton a complete soccer pyramid effect that starts when a child is 7 years old until they are ready to turn professional.

Last season, Boca Raton FC were able to take the Miami Fusion of NPSL to extra time in the first round but after some bouts of controversy and indiscipline, the club was eliminated after 120 minutes.
