After two strong road victories, Boca Raton Football Club (3W-0D-1L) returns to The Shipyard this Friday, June 5 at 8pm to take on Alianza Miami (1W-2D-2L).
“We had a strong two weeks away from home,” says head coach Marcelo Castillo. “Now it’s time to give our home fans the show they deserve and go for our third-straight win.”
After their 1-0 loss to Miami Dade FC at The Shipyard on May 15, Boca Raton went on the road and defeated Palm Beach Piranhas 5-1 on May 24, and then went down to Miami and defeated Real Miami CF 2-1 on May 31.
“On May 15 we were still getting to know eachother,” says captain Stefano Bontempo. “Coach has preached patience and we have been listening and it’s paying off.”
During the two-game win streak midfielder Bruno Militz has scored three goals, tying him for 4th in the APSL Golden Boot race.
“We have been growing stronger as a team,” says Militz. “We have learned a lot about eachother these last two weeks, we feel good as a club, and I’m becoming more comfortable in my role in the starting eleven.”
Boca Raton FC will look to once again break it’s own record which was set on May 15 when over 650 fans packed The Shipyard to watch the 1-0 loss to Miami Dade.
“Our fans are tremendous,” adds Castillo. “They have traveled these last two weeks to watch us and they have been loud and we certainly hear them in the field, they give us that extra push, they are the 12th men.”
Boca Raton FC already holds the record for an APSL crowd when over 650 people came to watch the Miami Dade FC match, but in order to make The Shipyard one of the most feared home atmospheres in the APSL, Boca Raton FC is giving away free tickets to any fan who uses the promo code VICTORY during checkout.
